Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary:  The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary has asked for the assistance of the public to prepare for the care of injured birds and coastal clean-up.  Donations of linens, kennels, towels, sheets, dawn detergent, pepto-bismol and toothbrushes are requested or volunteer your time.  For information email jessicag@seabirdsanctuary.comor call 727-392-4291.


Vessels of Opportunity (Boats) Program:  BP will be hiring fishermen to help in the clean up and to deploy boom in the Gulf of Mexico.  Interested fishermen should call 425-745-8017.

Volunteer Florida - The Governor's Commission on Volunteerism & Community Service:  Volunteers can help!  Because oil is a hazardous material, volunteer opportunities are limited for unaffiliated, untrained volunteers.  The Volunteer Florida website has the most up to date information for people looking to volunteer their time and talents.  To report oiled shoreline or request volunteer information, call 1-866-448-5816.

United Way Tampa Bay:  Unaffiliated volunteers may also contact the United Way of Tampa Bay to volunteer their services in the clean up efforts at 813-274-0999 or visit the United Way Tampa Bay website.
