HUMAN RESOURCES
Human Resources is a customer-oriented team dedicated
to providing personnel services to our community, supporting the City of
Tarpon Springs’ mission and vision.
Our department performs the centralized functions of recruitment,
orientation, benefits administration, risk management, employee and
labor relations, employee communication and recognition programs. Human
Resources is also charged with assisting the city to focus on
consistently delivering the high service quality, outstanding customer
value and sound financial performance characteristic of High Performance
Organizations.
Jane Kniffen, Human Resources Director, joined the City of Tarpon
Springs in the summer of 2000. Ms. Kniffen holds a Bachelor of Science
degree and Certification as a Human Resource Manager from the University
of Guelph and brought to the city seventeen years of human resources
management experience in the educational field with both county and
district school boards. She received High Performance Organization
training at the University of Toronto.
