Overview:
The City of Tarpon Springs strives to maintain satisfaction with water
and sewer services. We also make every effort to provide prompt service
to address your concerns and/or complaints related to the City sewer or
water system. Water or sewer service problems on private property are
the responsibility of the property owner and should be resolved by the
property owner through a licensed plumber.
City service includes response to water breaks, meter leaks, clogged
sewers, sewer line breaks, water/sewer taps, reclaimed taps/repairs,
utility locates and fire hydrant repairs/replacement/maintenance.
We use special equipment such as the vacon truck and closed circuit
television truck to identify and repair problems with City sewer
systems.
Water Service:
If you wish to connect to City water please contact the Engineering
Department at (727) 942-5608 to determine if service is available in
your area, and the cost for connection.
For water quality concerns, please contact Water Quality at (727)
937-2557.
For low water pressure concerns, contact Water Distribution at
(727) 942-5606.
If the problem is determined to be part of the property
owner's system (post-meter), the property owner should
contact a licensed plumber to correct the problem.
If the problem is part of the City system, the City will
investigate the problem to find a solution including checking
the water meter; checking the service tap and
any valves in the area.
Sewer Service:
To connect to City sewer please contact the Engineering Department at
(727) 942-5608 to determine if service is available in your area and
the cost for connection.
If you have sewer back up "Call the City First":
· Contact the Water Distribution/Sewage Collection Department

to schedule a service call.
If the Water Distribution/Sewage Collection Department
determines it is a City problem, the City will correct it.
If the Water Distribution/Sewage Collection Department
determines it is a property owners’ problem, the property owner must
contact a licensed plumber to correct it.
