ROADS & STREETS RESPONSIBILITIES

The Roads & Streets Division is responsible for maintenance, repair and construction for many aspects of the City's infrastructure, including:

Maintenance and repair of asphalt/brick streets and curbs/gutters

Maintenance and repair of sidewalks

Construction of Storm Water infrastructure

Seawall minor repair and maintenance

Tree removal and trimming as directed by the City Arborist

City boat launching pad maintenance

Street Maintenance:

Roads & Streets staff performs minor repairs to road surfaces including the filling of potholes. Reported damaged areas are inspected, evaluated and repaired. Street repaving needs are evaluated and prioritized based on condition for contract work on an annual basis.

Sidewalk Maintenance:

Sidewalks are evaluated to determine the potential hazards and are scheduled for repair/replacement based on priority.
