Commissioner Banther was appointed to serve as a Commissioner on October 1, 2024, to fill a vacancy, and was later elected (unopposed) on March 11, 2025, to finish an unexpired term of one-year for Seat 1. He also previously served two terms as Commissioner / Vice-Mayor from 2013 - 2019. He has served on the following boards: Historical Preservation, Budget Advisory, Charter Review, Pinellas County Transit Authority, Rotary Club of Tarpon Springs, Advent North Pinellas Hospital Foundation, Leadership Pinellas Class of 2015, and Tarpon Springs Yacht Club. He holds a BS in Economics from Hillsdale College, an MS in Management from Colorado Technical University, and is an Eagle Scout (Troop 48 - Tarpon Springs). He is an active Real Estate Broker and Licensed Community Association Manager. A Pinellas County Native, Commissioner Banther is married with two daughters. His hobbies include hunting/conservation and weightlifting (4 USPA Powerlifting State Records).
