The Technical Review Committee (TRC) consists of City Staff representatives from various departments, including Planning and Zoning, Project Administration, Utilities, Fire, Building, Public Works, and Law Enforcement.

Overview

The Technical Review Committee's role is to review applications for compliance with the City's code of ordinances, the comprehensive plan, and applicable building codes prior to moving forward to public hearing (if applicable). The TRC is typically the first step in the development review process.

The TRC reviews the following:

  • Annexation of Property into the City
  • Conditional Use Requests
  • Land Development Code (LDC) Text Amendments
  • Planned Development Applications
  • Rezoning & Future Land Use Amendments
  • Site Plans
  • Subdivision Plats
  • Temporary Uses
  • Vacation of Streets, Plats, or Property
  • Variance Requests
  • Other Special Studies or Requests Assigned by the City Manager

The Applicant's Guide to TRC (PDF) is a helpful resource to reference in the preparation on an application.
