The City’s Public Works Department has partnered with the Pinellas County School Board and the Southwest Florida Water Management District on a stormwater flood protection and water quality improvement project for this area. The project involves installing a new stormwater collection system along North Grosse Avenue, construction of two new stormwater management facilities and improving two existing stormwater management facilities. The stormwater improvement projects is intended to reduce the historic and frequent flooding in this area. The construction of two new stormwater management facilities and improvement to two existing stormwater management facilities will also provide additional water quality treatment for the Anclote River.
