Procurement Services Department Overview

Procurement Services manages the procurement of necessary supplies, equipment, and services at the lowest possible cost consistent with the quality needed to meet the requirements for the City of Tarpon Springs and to ensure that the taxpayers receive the maximum value for each dollar expended. Procurement Services uses a variety of methods including  competitive solicitations, sealed bids, cooperative purchasing, piggybacking of other agencies’ competitively solicited bids and use of the City issued purchasing cards.

Notice of Bids: The City of Tarpon Springs utilizes Onvia DemandStar to notify bidders of available opportunities. In order to receive notifications, the vendor must register with Onvia DemandStar. The City of Tarpon Springs does not maintain a separate vendor database. All vendors interested in doing business with the City should register with Onvia DemandStar.

Disposal of Surplus Equipment:

Periodically, the Procurement Services Department disposes of surplus equipment and supplies.

Recreational Programs:

Recreational Programming and Sunset Beach Concession Services: The City invites submissions of Letters of Interest from qualifies independent contractors and individuals to provide recreational programs for the City’s Recreation Division or for concession services at Sunset Beach.  In order to be considered, applicants must complete and submit a letter of interest.  Download the form and instructions below or from our document library.

Ten-8 Fire & Safety, LLC

The City of Tarpon Springs intends to recommend the award of a sole source purchase
agreement for an Estimated Annual Amount of $100,000.00 to Ten-8 Fire & Safety, LLC
for sale, service, parts and warranty of custom and commercial fire apparatus
manufactured by Pierce in the state of Florida.
Contractors who believe they can meet or exceed the above stated requirement must
provide convincing technical data sufficient to support their position. The City of Tarpon
Springs Procurement Services office must receive replies to this notice not later than
close of business on November 27, 2023. After this date, an award will be made.
Responses to this notice will be used to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
