The City has been notified by Duke Energy that they are constructing a new electrical substation at the site of the Tarpon Springs Operations Center that is just to the west of Cycadia Cemetery. Demolition of the old facility is currently underway. There will be periodic lane closures and heavy equipment on Cemetery Road during the duration of demolition and construction.

Reason: West Court Street Improvements Project: Includes utility line replacement (sanitary sewer and water main), sidewalks, landscaping, street lighting and roadway construction.
MOT: Road will be closed to through traffic. Only local traffic permitted. Access to adjacent properties is available from West Tarpon Avenue and West Lemon Street.
Lemon St will be closed between S. Spring Blvd and Bay Street. S Spring Blvd will have occasional one lane closures between Lemon St. and Lime St.

Location: Intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Lincoln Avenue
Time Period: Monday, July 6, 2020 for a period of approximately 60 days (1st week of September)
Reason: Sanitary sewer manhole reconstruction project
MOT: This intersection will be shut down for approximately 60 days until work is completed. Only local traffic will be allowed on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Follow marked detours. MOT plan is attached below.

Time Period: June 15, 2020 through August 31, 2020.
Reason: Drainage Improvement Project
A section of the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail in Tarpon Springs will be closed to complete routine maintenance and repairs from Monday, July 20 to Monday, August 10.
The closure is located from Live Oak Street to Disston Avenue. Signage is posted in the area to alert trail users of the closure and to ensure bicyclist and pedestrian safety. Trail users will be detoured along Live Oak Street.

The Florida Department of Transportation is making improvements to Alternate US 10 from Oscar Hill Road to Dixie Highway. This project begins August 3, 2020 and will take approximately 160 calendar days.
The improvements consist of the construction of pedestrian features including sidewalk, driveway, curb and gutter, milling and resurfacing, overbuild, drainage, signage, pavement markings, lighting, mid-block crossing and other incidental construction.
