Duke Park & Plug Program

The City of Tarpon Springs participates in the Duke Park & Plug program. Through this program, Duke Energy installed electric vehicle charging stations in several locations throughout the city. These stations are available for public use.

The current locations with Duke Park & Plug public EV charging stations include: the Splash Park, Recreation Center, Library, and City Hall. Use of these stations are currently free to the public.

The City has begun the procurement of electric vehicles with the purchase of two electric Nissan Leaf vehicles in 2021. The City Utilities department recently purchased a Ford e-transit van in 2022.
